When the shutter does not release please refer to the sections below for possible solutions.

1. Turn the camera on.
2. Press the [ ] button, and then press the [
], [
] buttons to choose [Self-timer/Remote ctrl].
3. Press the [ ], [
] buttons or turn the [
] dial or [
] dial to choose [
], and then press the [
] button.
1. Set the Mode Dial to one of the Creative Zone modes shown in the example image below.
2. Press the [MENU] button to display the menu screen.
3. Press the [ ], [
] buttons or turn the [
] dial to choose the [
- 1] tab.
Press the [ ], [
] buttons or turn the [
] dial to choose [C.Fn III: Others] and then press the [
] button.
4. Press the [ ], [
] buttons or turn the [
] dial or [
] dial to select [Release shutter w/o lens] and then press the [
] button.
5. Press the [ ], [
] buttons or turn the [
] dial to choose [1:Enable], and then press the [
] button.
・ At the bottom of the screen, the current Custom Function settings are indicated below the respective function numbers.
6. Press the [MENU] button. The screen shown below will reappear.
7. Press the [MENU] button again to return to the shooting screen.
