PhotoRecord allows you to create an album in four easy steps:

  1. Selecting the Photographs
  2. Selecting the Album Type
  3. Selecting the Paper
  4. Printing the Album

Step 1: Selecting the Photographs

  1. Select [Start], [All Programs], [Canon PhotoRecord], then [PhotoRecord].

    PhotoRecord will start, and the setting items for [1 Fetch Photos] will be displayed.

    Note: PhotoRecord can also be started from [ZoomBrowser EX].

  2. Click [Fetch Photos...].

    The [Fetch Photos] dialog box will be displayed.

  3. Select the photographs to be used in the album, and then click [Open].

    A preview will be displayed on the right half of the window.

    Note:

    • At the [Fetch Photos] dialog box, you can use the Shift or Ctrl key to select multiple images at one time. Even after the images are displayed, you can still add other images by repeating the same procedure.
    • To correct fetched images automatically, check the [Image Correction for New Photos] check box.
    • To change the number of pages that are displayed in the preview screen, click the [View] menu, and select [Number of Columns].
    • To change the number of photographs to be placed on one album page, click the [Album] menu, and select [Re-layout Entire Album...].
    • After you finish editing the album, click [New Album] to create a new album. To open an album that is already saved, click [Open Album...].

Step 2: Selecting the Album Type

  1. Click [2 Select Printer & Album Type].

    The setup items for [2 Select Printer & Album Type] are displayed.

  2. For [Printer], select the printer to be used.
  3. For [Album Type], select the type of album to be created.

    Note:

    • You can select [Booklet], which is bound album, or [Simple Album], which is a single-sheet layout.
    • The items that can be set vary depending on the selected album type and printer.
    • In the [Album Type] area, select [Others] to print the album in different formats.

Step 3: Selecting the Paper

  1. Click [3 Select Paper].

    The setup items for [3 Select Paper] are displayed.

    Note: The items that can be set vary depending on the selected album type and printer.

  2. For [Ink Cartridge], select the type of BJ cartridge to be used. For [Media Type], select the type of paper to be used.

    Note:

    • [Borderless Printing] will not be displayed for certain printers.
    • If you check the [Borderless Printing] check box, you can set the extension amount in [Overprint Distance].
  3. For [Paper Size], select the size of the paper to be used. Then select the [Page Orientation].

Step 4: Printing the Album

  1. Click [4 Print].

    The setting items for [4 Print] are displayed.

    Note: The items that can be set vary depending on the selected printer.

  2. For [Print Quality], select the printing quality.

    Note: If you check the [Use Canon Vivid Photo] check box, the photograph images will be corrected automatically to vivid colors.

  3. For [Copies], select the number of copies to be printed. For [Print Pages], select the range of pages to be printed.
  4. Click [Print].

    Note: To save the created album, click [Save]. To open a saved album, click [1 Fetch Photos] and select [Open Album...].
