Canon PIXMA wireless set-up procedures commonly refer to ‘WPS’ or a ‘WPS connection’.
WPS stands for ‘Wi-Fi Protected Set-up’ and this allows the establishment of a secure wireless home network between your Canon product and your wireless router. In most cases, your wireless router will have a WPS button or an antennae symbol indicating this. For more detailed information, please refer to the user guide for your wireless router.
Pressing the WPS button together with pressing the relevant connectivity button on your Canon PIXMA product allows a network connection to be established between the two which is a key stage in successfully setting up your device for wireless printing.
