Empowering the next generation

Storytellers need access to education and equipment so they can continue to learn and grow.
The Canon Young People Programme provides opportunities that allow those that need it most, young people from deprived backgrounds and communities in developing regions, to document stories on the social and environmental issues that matter to them.
Empowering young People

Young People Programme

Through our Young People Programme we’ve reached over 5750 young participants working with over 50 charity partners, including Plan International and Wild Shots Outreach, across Europe, Middle East and Africa to equip young people in schools and communities with the skills, tools and platforms they need to share their stories with the world and create new opportunities both for themselves and others in their communities.
REPORT COVER

Canon Young People Programme
2023 Year in Review

The mission of the Canon Young People Programme is to inspire, educate and empower the next generation of storytellers. It offers a means and platform for self-expression through skills-building workshops, which we co-design in partnership with NGOs and schools. This report shares programme highlights from activity across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where we worked with over 1,500 young people across 33 countries delivering more than 400 workshops. Empowering storytellers through the Programme is the very embodiment of kyosei, our corporate philosophy, which means ‘living and working together for the common good’.
